Description

This is the scarce vinyl version of Ernest Ranglin's rather wonderful Reggae Jazz crossover "Below The Bassline", released in 1996 when major labels were trying to kill vinyl the LP version was only available as a pre-order and deleted on the day of release meaning shops couldn't order additional copies and it was very difficult to obtain even the week it came out.
Although released when vinyl was at it's lowest it's a decent pressing, well mastered by John Dent and sounds great with a wonderful selection of sixties and seventies Jamaican classics including Ranglin's own "Surfin'".
Visually the vinyl has a little very faint scuffing due to being sold in a card inner sleeve that rubbed, but both sides play excellently with no issues.
The labels are both excellent as is the CD booklet that came with it and the card inner sleeve.
The sleeve has a small split in the middle of the top seam.
