Description
Born on 1951, Ernie Djohan is a daughter of an Indonesian diplomat and used to live in the Netherlands and Singapore. At a tender age of 11, she won the All Singapore Schol Talentime in 1962. She started recording on vinyl under the Philips label the following year, She had numerous hits during her singing career.
A very versatile singer, she records in the Malay/Indonesian language and with her very good command of English, she also recorded English songs.
This lp is under the Pop Sound label, which is a division of Philips. All the songs were all arranged and conducted by a well-known Dutch conductor, Ger van Leeuwen. The 4 songs are:

Ernie Djohan (lahir 6 April 1951; umur 66 tahun) adalah seorang penyanyi Indonesia. Ia adalah anak dari keluarga diplomat M Djohan Bakhaharudin yang pernah bermukim di Den Haag, Belanda dan Singapura. Pada usia 11 tahun ia sudah bernyanyi untuk Radio Talentime 1962 di Singapura.
Pada tahun itu juga Ernie Djohan menjadi juara pertama All Singapore's School Talentime. Rekaman pertama di Singapura pada tahun 1962 dilakukan di Phillips Recording Company. Lagu yang sangat di kenang sepanjang masa di era tahun 1970-an adalah Teluk Bayur dan Kau Selalu Hatiku.
