This piece has given me fits for the past 2 years, ever since I bought it along with some other soul records that were sitting in a garage in Arlington, Texas. It appears to be private label gospel soul due to the lack of any online information. It was recorded at 716 Davis Ave, Fort Worth, TX. Looking up this location on google shows what may be a now vacant lot. In any case, the most interesting aspect of the record to me is the singer Sam Williams. There was/is a singer named Sam Williams who did a couple of northern soul recordings in the 1960's. I cannot tell if this is the same Sam Williams, and I have a feeling that the only people who may know are the singer himself and some people in that east Fort Worth area. If alive, the singer would likely be in his 70's now. Another thing I was wondering about is whether the singer on this record fronted Sam Williams and the Harris singers, which can be found on youtube. Any information would be helpful in this regard, and I would love to hear from anyone in the know. I will be in East Fort Worth soon, so perhaps I can stumble across someone who might know. The lead (apparently lead guitar) was done by Milton Dozier, listed on the record under the band name. I could find little information at all about Mr. Dozier. The record is VG+. col
