Description

This is part of a big auction of blues and R&B 7" records. There are many King and Chess records here with several "bonus" listings and a handful of rarities. Keep an eye out for a large Specialty Records auction in a couple of weeks then an oddball auction of mainly 60's rock 'n roll, many with picture sleeves.

Release: Little Al - Little Lean Woman / No Jive

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1956


Notes: Orange label first pressing. The artist is Al Gunter brother of Arthur Gunter, who was a mainstay on Excello in the 1950's. The music is similar. Acoustic country blues, a little more raw than Arthurs's stuff. Nice little electric guitar backing on the b-side. Tough record to find.


Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in really nice shape with just a few spots of light surface scuffing. Looks clean and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all.  Labels are nice with original gloss, with no tearing/stickers. This is a nice copy.
