Description
Full-length LP from Jon Hassell titled "Power Spot" released by ECM Records (829 466-1/ECM 1327) in 1986. Original German pressing. Unique and visionary trumpet artist with another release that has evolved from his Fourth World approach to making music. Hassell's effected trumpet floats over a bed of electronically generated percussion and ambient synth drones (sometimes with a more dense than usual ensemble of backing musicians) for what conjures up a futuristic imagery of Africa perhaps. Brian Eno provides bass on two tracks and Michael Brook plays electronically treated guitars on three. Imaginative music to say the least. Photo insert of Jon Hassell portrait included.

Labels are in NEAR MINT condition. Vinyl record is in NEAR MINT condition with new-like luster and plays with some light, sporadic surface tics...sounds great! Cover is in VERY GOOD+ condition with some wear at corners, minimal edgewear, creases at upper and lower right, some ringwear and other surface wear from storage. Photo insert is in EXCELLENT condition with minor wear.
All vinyl albums are shipped in protective cardboard mailers with cardboard flats and bubble wrap for safe shipping.
