An EXTREMELY RARE and HIGHLY COLLECTABLE
1957 UK tri-centre 7" single by The Johnny Burnette Trio - Honey Hush / Lonesome Train
on the VOGUE CORAL record label 45 - Q 72227
Matrix numbers : Side 1 - 45-VC-100267-1C, stamper "1" at 8 o'clock and "CH" at 2 o'clock; Side 2 - 45-VC-100277-1C, stamper "1" at 9 o'clock and "B" at 3.30 o'clock
The overall condition of this record is GOOD only. Some of the original gloss and sheen has been retained but there are a number of light surface scuffs and hairlines but, thankfully, nothing deep rooted which causes the record to skip and certainly no nasty below the surface blemishes.
The quality of the audio is, similarly, GOOD only again. Both sides play through completely with no skips but I did count 5 light, dull, background clicks on each of the sides. There is background crackle throughout both sides. I have no doubt that the quality of the audio, and the appearance of the the vinyl, would greatly benefit from a professional clean of both sides.
Having said all that, both sides of this record are perfectly playable and a joy to listen to, and have a good appearance - but, clearly, there is room for improvement. The labels on each side are in very good condition although the original tri-centre is missing - easily replaceable.
Highly sought after and collectable and a prized item that will only increase in value.

Description: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent
Description: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good
Description: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good
Description: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
Fair
Description: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor
Description: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Bad
Description: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
