Description

Fletcher Henderson and His Orchestra play "Nagasaki" (featuring Red Allen) and "It's the Talk of the Town" (featuring Coleman Hawkins) on blue wax Columbia 2825D.  Two classic performances.
Russell Smith, Bobby Stark (tp); Henry "Red" Allen (tp, vcl); Dicky Wells, Claude Jones (tb); Russell Procope, Hilton Jefferson (cl, as); Coleman Hawkins (cl, ts); Horace Henderson (p, arr); Bernard Addison (g); John Kirby (b); Walter Johnson (d); unknown (vib-1); Will Hudson, Fletcher Henderson (arr).  Recorded in New York on September 22, 1933.
This record is in V+ condition generally.  On "Nagasaki," a 1/4-inch lam does not reach the grooves.  On "Talk," two half-inch lams reach 1/4-inch into the grooves but do not sound on my equipment.  Both sides are A-1 stampers.
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing.  I know how to pack records.
