Description
After Frank Zappa broke up the remaining Mothers of Invention, he recorded and performed under his own name before re-forming the group.
This bootleg release documents part of a concert at the legendary Olympic Auditorium in downtown Los Angeles,
with Zappa leading a sensational quintet.
The music includes smokin' versions of "Sharleena" and "Directly from My Heart to You", plus the world premiere of "Twinkle Tits," a wild instrumental jam that incorporates the main theme from "Little House I Use to Live In," and a long, but never dull exploration of "Chunga's Revenge."
Zappa's guitar playing is beyond superb, as is the blues violin of Don "Sugar Cane" Harris, who was only with Zappa briefly and
is not featured with Harris on any other Zappa live recordings.
Although this is a bootleg, it is one of the best unauthorized recordings of Frank Zappa.
The vinyl appears to be in very good shape
the plain white album is in a clear plastic sleeve
the vinyl plays well and has good fidelity, clean disc!
