Faces “First Step” LP Warner Brothers UK first pressing, very rare!! WS 3000 on the orange Warners label, pressed on heavy, thick vinyl in 1970. This pristine copy has only had one owner (a friend of the band) and has always been in a protective cover! The gatefold sleeve is new-looking with no ring wear, finger marks, creases or any other defects. It shows its age only by some really light mild corner rubbing, but even this is hardly noticeable! It’s a brilliant cover and is easily EX+!! The poly lined inner sleeve is EX+ and the record itself has lovely orange “Stereo” Warner Bros labels, showing mild spindle traces, and no marks to the vinyl at all!! It’s a really solid, heavy copy and looks close to new! EX+ at least! A seriously good copy of this very rare first Faces LP, featuring Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood, Ronnie Lane, Ian MacLagan and Kenny Jones! It HAS to be worth the opening bid of £35.00!! What does that buy you these days?? Not many heavy vinyl first press classic LPs in excellent condition!! A lot of sellers would grade this at near mint! Super LP!! On 02-Oct-08 at 17:07:35 BST, seller added the following information:2nd October 2008 - I have just play tested the LP for a potential bidder and can confirm that the description above still stands. When viewed in strong direct sunlight there are a few wispy handling marks on the vinyl, but no scratches as such, and only what you would expect from a well taken care of LP. I can also add, however, that there is a single "pop" between tracks one and two on side one, that may or may clean off. I can not see what is causing it, perhaps dust, perhaps a stylus was dropped on it (?) It is NOT during any music, and does not spoil the audio at all. Perhaps the LP would grade simply "EX" due to this. I thought I would post this info so any watchers and bidders are aware. Thanks to all!!
