Artist: Faces & Rod Stewart
Title: A Nod`s as Good as a Wink...to a Blind Horse
Details: - Superb copy of this classic album, original 1971 UK Issue on the Green Warner Bros label with very rare poster and top sleeve (within in a short while the record company re-issued the album without the poster, making original copies with the poster into collector's items), featuring `Rod the Mod` before he whisked himself off to Hollywood - Run out/matrix K56006 A1 - K56006 B1
A Nod`s as Good as a Wink... to a Blind Horse is the bands third album and It contains their biggest hit, the rocking "Stay with Me". The original issue of the album came with a poster consisting of a picture collage, including images of pills and pharmaceutical capsules, as well as photos apparently taken on tour.
Label: Warner Bros
Catalogue No: K56006
Year: 1971
Country of Issue: UK
Vinyl: (Mint-) Quite Thick Vinyl, even under Halogen Spotlights cant really see any marks, Looks unplayed!! It is in Exceptional condition with original lustre, looks shop new. Plays Superb
Inserts - Very Rare Poster, Incredibly `Large` filled my dining room table (see photos) has been hung so would grade as VG++/EX
Sleeve: (NM) Unlaminated `MacNeill Press, London` sleeve in almost perfect condition, So very prone to wear especially to losing surface colour - (rubbing of the brown finish) and creasing, so it`s a pleasure to come across one that has been looked after over the 40 years, Lovely clear `Pinched Spine`, sharp opening, some edgewear and minimal spine creases (see photos) - a really nice copy
Labels: As New no visible spindle lines this LP looks unplayed, `Made in UK` credits
Trivia: When Rod Stewart & Ronnie Wood joined the Small Faces the "small" part of the original band name was dropped, partly because the two newcomers (at 5'9" and 5'10" respectively) were significantly taller than the three former Small Faces
