Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. Virgin Killer, the most well-known of the many Scorpions records to be censored, has since become the model for controversial album art in rock history.
The racy cover of this ages-old Scorpions album HAD become the subject of an investigation into unsuitable cover art. The image caught the eye of the Federal agency after right-wing media outlet World Net Daily singled it out during a sweep, where the news agency was looking for salacious material.
Back in ’76, the cover image solicited by the hard-rockin’ Germans was banned in the U.S. after being deemed too controversial for American audiences.
The Scorpions 1976 album Virgin Killer was a searing heavy rocker triumph and a great vehicle to showcase the astounding talents of guitarist Uli Joh Roth. This album also was the beginnings of Klaus Meine really coming into his own as a powerful top-tier vocalist. Musically speaking the album's songwriting was stronger than the album before it and far stronger than the one that followed it. In that respect Virgin Killer was the Scorpions milestone of their long career.
