.FAIR WEATHER "BEGINNING FROM AN END" RCA NEON UK ORIGINAL FIRST PRESS. 1971.NE 1. This their rare debut and the album that launched the awesome NEON label at the dawn of '71. Fragile cover is in truly great shape, has mini debut of a ringwear on bottom back (see pic); overall in EX+. Record is EX and plays great, has a only a couple of hairlines on two tracks.

The purpose of this note is to give credit to the people who in my mind make our group a group in the full sense of the term. The rhythm 
section is only one part, the essential part is unfortunately rarely heard of---; our advisors, record company, our engineer, musical arrangers, 
brass players, Olympic Sound Studios and road manager. All those people coming together to make a complete unit---

Perhaps best known today, at least in the States, as a member of Eric Clapton's early-'90s backing band, back in the '60s Andy Fairweather Low was a pop star, Amen Corner's frontman/guitarist. Formed in 1966, that group sent six singles spiralling up the U.K. pop chart, including "(If Paradise Is) Half as Nice," their 1969 number one. Amen Corner closed up shop in 1970, only to immediately reopen as Fair Weather, albeit with a slightly reduced staff -- brass players Mike Smith and Allen Jones had found employment elsewhere. By July, the band's debut single, "Natural Sinner," was taking its evil ways up the chart, reaching number six. Beginning from an End arrived soon after, but before year's end, the band had broken up for good and soon sank from memory.

THE STEREO REPRODUCTION IS SUPERB AND EVERY NOTE IS HEARD CLEARLY AND CRISPLY WITHOUT DISTORTION.  NEEDLESS TO SAY, NO STICKS OR JUMPS!

Vinyl: EX+. A truly remarkable barely or unplayed  vinyl. An album that went largely unnoticed but has now found its rightful appreciation with fans of psych and prog rock. This vinyl sounds out of this world. The audio has beautiful separation and there is no background noise. There are NO spindle traces at all. under a strong light I could only make out two of the wispiest hairlines. most would not spot them. I played this in full on my high end Linn Sondek/ROTEL/B&W system and thoroughly enjoyed it. The audio had great depth and clarity, a true winner. I was even tempted to keep this as it will be very hard to find this again, it is indeed mega rare now. Needless to say NO jumps, clicks or ticks. This will be a fantastic upgrade for most long time collectors!!

Gatefold sleeve: VG+.  A great example of this rarely seen album. This is a fantastic sleeve without any damage or splits. The colours are still very lively. The inside gate is also really nice. Some edge scuffing top and bottom from storage. One small crease left top front. The spine is 100% legible but has light wear. NO writing. Please inform yourself from the pictures. An enormously rare album now and not too many come up for auction these days.

This LP also still has its original black inner sleeve with white print to the front. It is , however, not in the greatest condition with tears to the die cut centre and a seam split. I will send the LP in a generic white inner and will also include the original inner.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next psych album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
