FAIRPORT CONVENTION LP STEREO UNHALFBRICKING 1ST PRESS PINK LABEL WITH BLACK ‘CIRCLE’ LOGO
On offer is a RARE 1st pressing FAIRPORT CONVENTION LP entitled UNHALFBRICKING released in the UK on the ISLAND label ILPS 9102. This 1st press is on the PINK ISLAND LABEL WITH BLACK ‘CIRCLE’ LOGO.
First pressing released on pink Island ''block'' logo label design with large font text ERNEST J DAY & CO LTD on rear sleeve.
These 1st press STEREO UNHALFBRICKING LPs are notoriously difficult to find these days and especially in the lovely condition that this example is in.
· The vinyl is in lovely clear and clean condition and has a beautiful sheen / gloss on both sides. It is in beautiful strong EX to EX+ condition. This record has hardly ever been played. The matrix stampers are A/1 and B/1.
· The Pink Island black block logo design record label is in beautiful condition: with only some very minor spindle marks.
· The ERNEST J DAY & CO LTD matt (un-laminated) picture sleeve cover is in nice VG+ condition. It has been kept well protected in my personal LP collection (in a plastic sleeve) for over 40 years. It has some edge wear and some tiny paper loss near the spine: all edges are of course fully intact and there are a couple of creases BUT no major defects, writing or heavy creasing. In summary the picture sleeve cover for this RARE 1st pressing is in VG+ condition.
This is a LOVELY condition FIRST PRESS PINK ISLAND LP that is also VERY RARE and SELDOM offered for sale.
Tracks are:
Side1: Genesis Hall / Si Tu Dois Partir / Autopsy /A Sailor’s Life. Side 2: Cajun Woman / Who Knows Where the Time Goes? / Percy’s Song / Million Dollar Bash.
