FAIRPORT CONVENTION LIEGE and LIEF 1969 ISLAND pink 'i' FIRST PRESS ILPS 9115 A-1 / B-1
For auction here is a copy of FAIRPORT CONVENTIONS classic early Lp called LIEGE and LEIF. This is the rarely seen FIRST PRESS with the original PINK LABEL and PINK 'i' logo and E.J. DAY GATEFOLD sleeve.
Under a 100W bright light the Lp retains an excellent sheen but there are numerous visible marks mainly hairlines but also some more noticeable marks and blemishes. And this is confirmed on playing as there is some surface noise audible in places so the record is graded at VERY GOOD PLUS.
The classic ISLAND PINK 'i' labels are also graded VERY GOOD PLUS with some visible foxing.
The WIDE SPINE GATEFOLD sleeve printed by E.J. DAY & SON is graded at VERY GOOD PLUS with some general discoloration and marks and edge and spine rub which leaves the spine only partially legible but no splits or writing etc.
