Parlophone LPVDX-117, 1962 UK MONO (original issue, 1st pressing)

( run-off matrix XCVOX 49 -1N )

Very rare album in the Parlophone Voix De L'Orient series featuring a classic early live perfomance in pre-war Baalbeck/Beirut by renowned Lebanese singer Fairuz singing traditional Lebanese folk songs in Arabic, French and English but in a more secular style. Also features Nasri Shamseddine. Arrangements by the Rahbani Brothers.

Superbly clean copy. Excellent laminated cover with little noticeable shelf wear (no splits, tears or markings)....NM The original UK Parlophone red-silver labels are NM. Pristine vinyl looks barely played with only the slightest hairlines (NM). Includes mint original inner sleeve.

Rare in any condition.....near impossible to find a better example of this jewel !

Excellent record…..Glossy surface, minimal hairlines, perhaps some superficial scuff marks, possibly some light surface noises.

May have more minor hairline marks or surface scuffs that will not affect play (no skips...but possibly some minor crackling on playback).

Record may have several light scratches, noticeable marks, and surface noise may be more apparent. …It will still play through without skipping and is still enjoyable.

VG-

Looks rough, many scratches, some deep enough to be fell with a fingernail, surface noise is evident . …An OK record, but not for everyone. (* will not normally be auctioned, unless a desirable or rare item)
