Description
Artist: FAIRUZ
Track(s): A Visit / A Farmer’s Song
Format: 78 rpm 10”
Label: LRC (Lebanese Recording Company)
Identifying catalogue/matrix number(s): 78-1003
Another very early 78 rpm 10” by Fairuz (or as listed here, Feirouz), this one printed in Italy for the Lebanese Recording Company! These LRC records are much rarer than her other, more numerous Voix De L’Orient/Parlophone 78s. She is backed by the LRC Orchestra on this one, with lyrics by M. Sayed Darweesh.
I have other Fairuz (and other Arab artists) 78s up for sale this week. Please look at my other auctions, if you’re interested in classic Arabic/Middle Eastern music.
Condition: I am afraid I am not able to play 78 rpm records. Please see photos for condition. Record is complete (no cracks, etc.), with wear as to be expected for a record of this age. Please inspect the included photos carefully. **ITEM SOLD “AS-IS”**
**NOTE**: There is slight chipping along the very outer edge of the record (zoom in on the first pic and look on the right side, roughly at the same height as the Arabic printing on the label for the song title and you can see it), which does not reach the playing surface on either side.
Terms (Please read carefully): Payment via Paypal is due within THREE (3) DAYS – no exceptions. Buyer pays shipping. **NON-USA BIDDERS: I will ONLY ship outside of the USA using E-bay’s Global Shipping Program, since this is the only way that the parcel is traceable outside of the USA, which protects seller and bidder from loss. This program includes import fees and taxes which are not set by me, are not negotiable, and can be quite high. Please keep this in mind when you bid.**
**ADDITIONAL SPECIAL NOTE FOR NON-USA BIDDERS: It is YOUR responsibility to understand the impact of the Global Shipping Program on the cost of shipments to your country BEFORE YOU BID on my auctions. I DO NOT WORK FOR E-BAY and cannot answer your questions about shipping costs. As clearly stated above, I do not have any control over how much you are charged, nor even any way to know how much you are charged (or will be charged). Please direct all questions about this program to E-bay Customer Service.**
US bidders: I am happy to combine items in order to save you money on shipping. Just let me know ahead of time if you are bidding on more than one item and I will send you a new invoice reflecting the correct shipping for all your wins (don’t pay the one sent by E-bay, which will charge the full shipping price for each individual item).
Non-USA bidders: My apologies, but according to my recent conversations with E-bay customer service, the Global Shipping Program does not allow for combined shipping on international orders.
Your item(s) will be sent within ten (10) days of receiving cleared payment via Paypal.
Please check my other auctions for more items.
