Are you worried that this may be a counterfeit/fake? Good. You should be, there's a lot of people out there are stupidly good at forging signatures on memorabilia such as this. So, in order to try and ease your worries on whether I'm trying to scam people or not, I'd like to say a few things.
Firstly, selling records has become a livelihood of mine and I can't stand to take any negative feedback or complaints, plus I would feel terrible if anyone was to scam me over something like this. I have only just sold over 150 records, however everyone who has left feedback has been extremely positive. I won't sell anything that skips, or anything I consider to be lower than VG+.
Secondly, the story as to how I managed to acquire several signed Faith No More records: my father has been an avid collector of vinyl since the early 1970s. Around the back end of the 80s Faith No More broke through the barriers of the mainstream and created something entirely new. My dad absolutely loved their sound and was instantly on the look out for vinyl and CDs alike by the band.
After some time, a lot of gigs and touring, Faith No More FINALLY came to the UK in the 90s. By this time my Dad had multiple 7/12" records and picture discs by the band, he found out that the band would be appearing at HMV (a record store for all those who don't know) for a signing. So, he grabbed his favourites and got himself down there. Whilst Mike Patton and the band were signing the several records he'd picked to bring with him, Mike made a comment towards my dad stating something along the lines of "This has to be the best collection of our band's shit I've ever seen!". So that was that, I'm not sure whether my Dad took the records back home before the show. However, I did manage to find the exact date in 1990 that he saw the band, and that was at St George's Hall in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The link below provides a set-list which also describes the tour that the band were doing (European The Real Thing Tour).
If you have any questions or worries about the authenticity of this item then please do not hesitate and ask me, I'll do my best to pick the old man's brain one more time. Thanks for reading, I hope this helps you. I haven't bothered to acquire a certificate of authenticity due to the fact that this isn't a John Lennon signature. You can google signed copies of Faith No More merch, and you'll notice the similarities yourself. Here's a list of the band member's names from the time my Dad saw them live.
Mike Patton - Vocals
Jim Martin - Lead Guitar
Roddy Bottom - Rhythm Guitar
Billy Gould - Bass Guitar
Mike Bordin - Drums
Postage is free in the UK and I have discounted international post, doesn't matter where you are in the world. I'll cover it, and I'll get it to you in the safest and best way possible.
Selling on behalf of my father who was a collector since the 70s and still is a record collector to this day, if you have any questions then please do not hesitate to ask. All the records I sell have been price checked against previous sales on discogs/popsike. I do not sell copies that I don't consider to be anything less than VG+ overall.
