Description

Beautiful copy of the original 1961 US pressing of Falla’s The Three Cornered Hat conducted by Ernest Ansermet on London Blueback stereo LP CS-6224. This is one of the great audiophile masterpiece recordings of all time, and a really treat to hear on a beautiful first pressing. 3E/1E stamps. The disc was pressed in England with the same equipment, same vinyl, and same masters as the prized Decca version. This copy is quite lovely. Side one is very nearly perfectly mint and plays flawlessly and just beautifully. Side two has a mark at the beginning, which lightly ticks for a while in the beginning of that track. The ticking stops before the vocal comes in and from there on the whole side plays beautifully once again. Aside from this one mark with the ticking it is a near perfect copy. The cover is also just beautiful, with only the lightest shelfwear. The upper right corner is bumped and slightly bent, but there are no seam splits and there is no ringwear or other damage. A beautiful, bright and crisp cover. A beautiful playing copy even with its flaw.
