Description

Family 'A song For Me' 1970 UK original vinyl album on the Reprise Tricolor label, catalogue number RSLP9001 (stereo)

The numbers and letters stamped on the vinyl are:- Side One: RSLP 9001 A-2  1 H Side Two: RSLP 9001 B-2  1 K

This is a heavy vinyl and it is not warped. Both sides have an overall scattering of light surface scratches and a few more noticeable longer lines, may be caused by light stylus contact, but I cannot feel any of them. The record plays really well all the way through with just a little light crackle where it can be heard and some intermittent ticks during track 9 - this did not distract me but it will irritate the perfectionist! There are no sticks, no skips, no jumps and only a little lessening of the sound quality in real terms - but I think it's very enjoyable.

The track titles can be seen on the label photographs. The labels have quite a lot of spindle lines, but there is no writing, no damage.

The cover is a gatefold type, it does not have any coating or laminate. There is a knock and crease on the open edge and a knock on the bottom right corner, there is minor scuffing at the top and bottom seams. On the back there are some small indents, a couple of hairline scratches and a few small creases - also, there is a piece of tape along the top seam which folds over to the centre, it will probably peel off but I don't want to do that in case it takes the print off with it as it doesn't look too bad the way it is. The centre piece is excellent, it just has the folded tape which will probably come off fairly easily. Overall it's a gatefold in pretty good shape which has retained the 'black' well without much rub wear.

The spine is excellent, clean clear and fully readable, although it has been flattened.

The inner sleeve is the original cream paper which has gone a bit brown. It has a poly-liner and is printed with a UK patent number and 'Foreign Patents Pending'.

A lyric insert is included, printed on thick paper, and it is in really excellent condition.

I have checked the Record Collector grading system and I would say the cover is 'very good+' and the record is 'very good+', most of the time the audio is excellent with just a few minor flaws which lower the overall grade.

I have described this as carefully and honestly as possible, but it is a no return item so please bid accordingly.

It will be packed in a record mailing box (cruciform) with two pieces of card inside for further protection.
