FAMILY - MUSIC IN A DOLL'S HOUSE - REPRISE RSLP 6312 - 1968 FIRST PRESSING

This is a rare first pressing of this classic, with 3G/3G matrix numbers and both sides are from a '2' mother. I'm not sure about the meaning of stamper codes on these Reprise albums, but side 1 is 'L' with side 2 having 'I' and that says very early to me. Both sides have the KT tax code etched into the run-out wax.

The vinyl is in great shape. Apart from a very light surface line across side 1 it is visually close to mint. I've played it twice and I can hear no defects - just a few occasional 'light'clicks that you would expect from a vinyl of this age, whatever its condition. It is clean and bright. The original tri-colour 'steamboat' labels have some spindle marks, but that's all.

The foldback Garrod and Lofthouse cover is also in very good condition. No edge wear to talk about and minimal creasing to the flimsy laminate film. There are light 'dinks' at the corners. The (unlaminated) back is in almost perfect condition, apart from my name which has been added neatly and in small 3mm letters (why did we do those things in our youth?). Interestingly this cover has the catalogue number RLP 6312 which is the mono version - I can assure you all this is what came with the purchase over 40 years ago.

Very rare and very desirable
