From the personal archive of noted James Brown historian Alan Leeds.
An oddity for sure, this record was first issued on King 6295 with the artist credit reading THE SOLARS. And that's who this is....a Cincinnati vocal group produced by Bud Hobgood for James Brown Productions. For some long forgotten reason, Brown decided to reissue the record calling the group THE FAMOUS FLAMES, the name of his own original group. Go figure.
