THE FARM BAND - ORIGINAL US press on Mantra records 333; stereo; 1972; 2 LPs
Commonly known as the 'Mantra' LP.
This LP was made by hippie guru Stephen Gaskin and the Tennessee Commune. Great long psych jams!! Cuts: Side 1: "Om, Loving you, Lord's work". Side 2: "Keep your head up high, Being here with you". Side 3: "Let it ride, Prayer". Side 4: "I believe it".
Comes with 22" x 27" full color folded poster and a rare copy of 'The Farm Report' - A 17" x 22" folded poster-like newsletter printed in sepia tones, dated December 1971 with pictures of the day-to-day running of the farm and its people.The headline is "Whats happening with those Beatniks in Summertown?' POSTER RATES AS NEAR MINT/NEWSLETTER EXCELLENT
The gatefold cover has split at some point in the past and sellotape has been applied quite neatly along top and bottom edges. I suspect this has been done fairly recently as there is no yellowing of any kind. The two lyric inners are also present but being of very thin paper have split along a couple of edges and vinyl is starting to knife through bottom as well.SO COVER AND INNERS RATES AS VERY GOOD.
The two vinyl records rate as EXCELLENT with just a few light marks. Plays great
