 He was as fun to look at as he was to hear. Fats Waller was a joy in music, and another talent taken way to soon. Even his lesser known records are treasures and will give you a glimpse into his sly approach to everything.

After "Aint' Misbehavin'" in the winter of 1929, everything changed. He went from being a well reguarded, yet obscure jazz pianist, to being a star. This is from just prior to that breakthrough. The topside of this is "My Feelin's Are Hurt" and is a piano solo from a session on September 11, 1929. On the flip, he's "Smashing Thirds" and it's from a date on September 24, 1929 – the only thing he recorded at that session.
