FATS WALLER, 50s JAZZ LP, AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’ HITS AND JAZZ, BETTIE PAGE COVER, HALO LABEL, RARE
Halo label, 1957, vinyl condition is VG -, jacket is VG -, but photo still looks good. Has a lot of wear and tear around edges. Eleven songs, total, including on side 1, Ain’t Misbehavin’ (great take on an old standard, with female vocal), Black And Blue (great Cotton Club type sound with male vocal), Honesuckle Rose (great female vocal, jazzy version), I Can’t Give You Anything But Love (excellent instrumental version), Singin’ The Blues (male vocal, lazy and wonderful), and Baby Won’t You Please Come Home (male vocal with back-up singers, good Big Band version - my super favorite on the record!). Side 2 starts with Guilty Am I (great jazz guitar lead), then goes into loads of jazz instrumentals with lots of guitar. Some good guitar stuff on side 1 tracks, as well. There is overall surface noise on both sides of record. Real great album!
