FAUST - VERY RARE ORIGINAL GERMAN POLYDOR 12" CLEAR VINYL LP, COVER & INSERT.
This is your chance to own an original Krautrock 1972 pressing of the Faust's first vinyl LP on the Polydor label, 2310 142 SUPER. This transparent record, cover and insert has minimal age related discolouration and is in superb condition.
Condition is Used.
This record has been kept in a cool dry cupboard and un-played for well over 40 years having been purchased by me in the 1970s and then carried off to university and subsequent houses in a record box.
I have not played it, to check track quality, as I no longer have a respectable turntable fearing that one of today's modern USB record decks would act more like a plastic milling machine. My comments below are therefore based on a close visual inspection only. I have not cleaned the disc.
Disc:
Side A:
The label is in good condition with no rubbing to the central spindle hole and only slight spindle rub marks.
The disc surface is in excellent visual condition with no visible scratches. There is some slight surface dust together with a few possible dirty spots and light fingerprints. There are no stamp or etching marks in the Matrix / Runout area. The transparent disc has some slight browning with age but this is small as the disc has been kept in a dark cupboard with no exposure to sunlight for 40 or more years.
Side B:
The label is in good condition with no rubbing to the central spindle hole and only slight spindle rub marks; there are a few light fingerprints.
The disc surface is in excellent visual condition with no visible scratches. There is some slight surface dust together with a few dirty spots and light fingerprints. There are no stamp or etching marks in the Matrix / Runout area.
The photographs hopefully give some idea of the condition of the vinyl disc.
Insert:
The red screen printed transparent insert with track listings and words is in very good condition with no creases, splits or age related discoloration.
Cover:
The screen printed transparent cover is in very good condition with no creases, splits or labels. There is some age related brown discolouration on the spine only where the record has been stored in a record box and exposed to light.
Please inspect the photographs carefully.
For shipping I will place the record in plastic wrapping and pack in double stiff corrugated packaging.
