MINT MINUS (M-)
Highest grade used. A near perfect record - probably played once or twice with no sign of wear.
VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS (VG++)
May show signs of very superficial wear. May have minor scuffs and scratches that don't affect sound. Should be very satisfactory to all but the most demanding collector.
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+)
Some surface wear with slight scuffs and scratches that have little impact on sound. Plays very well.
VERY GOOD (VG)
There will be obvious signs of wear with graying in grooves and possibly noticeable scuffs and scratches and noticeable surface noise..
VERY GOOD MINUS (VG-)
Significant wear and marks and dark graying in grooves. Usually significant surface noise with possible scratches and skips.
GOOD (G)
Very worn record with lots of surface noise and skipping.
