ITEM:    VERY  Rare and in demand, Promo vinyl 45. Original Private Pressing Pressing on the audio propaganda label. A VERY LIMITED number of copies were made for John Hughes to be used as "Give- Aways" for his production of the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", starring Mathew Broderick. This 45 has achieved Cult Status as a collectible due to the scarcity of existing copies.  Side 1 is  " Beat City ",  by The Flowerpot Men, at 3:36 minutes.  Side 2 is  " I'm Afraid ",  by The Blue Room, at 4:46 minutes.  "Here Today..." is etched in the trail-off dead-wax on side 1, and, "Here Tomorrow" is etched in the trail-off dead-wax on side 2.

COMMENTS/CONDITION:    This 45 came from a private collection. It is not a beat up record bought at a yard sale. The record was visually graded, and was test played. Grading is according to Goldmine Standards. If you are not familiar with that system, please go to the Goldmine web site and read the grading details BEFORE YOU BID.

The vinyl is in a strong VG+ or better Condition, with a beautiful full gloss luster. There are no deep scratches, gouges, groove wear, or cracks. Center hole is perfectly round. Close visual inspection reveals a few superficial scuffs and wispy hairlines that are cosmetic only, and have no effect on the performances. Both sides played quietly on my older system with no background noise,  pops, skips or groove lock.  Please Note: These comments are made only for reference, and are NOT a statement as to the results you may experience from your equipment.

Both labels are in  excellent condition. Colors are crisp and bright.  There are NO tears, peeling edges, stickers, tape, writing, or nasty stains. I have not tried to clean the vinyl or the labels. Serious collectors usually have their own preferred methods they use.

The sleeve is a generic white paper item.

Do not sleep on this one. This obscure 45 seldom appears on eBay in ANY condition. I researched eBay sales history, and could only find one other copy of this 45 that was sold.
