You are bidding on "The Old Hen Cackled And The Rooster's Going To Crow" and "The Little Old Log Cabin In The Lane" by FIDDLIN' JOHN CARSON on Okeh 4890 recorded in Atlanta, Georgia, June 19, 1923. This is one of the first commercial country records produced!
Fiddlin' John Carson was old time country fiddler and singer born in Fannin County, Georgia in 1868 and died in Atlanta, Georgia in 1949. He had the reputation of being a rough moonshiner who consumed much of what he produced.
Condition: VG+. Has some light scratches, but nothing serious, no rubbing across the grooves. Plays just fine, has good fidelity for a 1923 acoustic recording.
I am getting up in years and am selling my small collection, as my children and grandchildren are not interested.
