Description
Brand new, factory sealed vinyl box set made by Rhino in 2017. This is NOT the reissue (also highly collectible) from a year later, this is THE ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING on thicker vinyl with better sound. FYI- I’ll ship this to you via USPS Priority with insurance and tracking number. NOT Media Mail, which stinks.
Interesting side notes: I preordered two of these when it was announced back in 2017 because I knew the extra copy would be a highly sought after item. My own copy I’ve been listening to for years. But the extra shipped separately back in 2017 (not sure why) and I literally just opened the SHIPPING BOX today. I even debated posting it in the sealed brown box but decided against it because that’s weird overall. Lol. I do have the box sitting here though!
But yeah, that’s how new this item actually is.
If you know this show I really don’t need to explain. The performances are sheer perfection, but also immensely passionate. I guarantee you’ve never heard Cornell sound quite like this before. Throw on the Scarlet -> Fire side, or the St. Stephen -> Not Fade Away side and you’ll be blown away. But nothing will prepare you for the first time you hear Morning Dew in pristine sound quality. By the time it peaks you’ll be somewhere in the stratosphere. Simply the best.
I’m not telling anyone what to do, but if you lose this auction you’ll never know what you missed out on. This is possibly the least handled copy in the world... it would have to be, based on what I just mentioned above, right? If it were me, I’d “Buy It Now” and be done with it. Is it worth potentially losing the item over a hundred bucks or two when this is in the $700-800 zone in a week?
Money comes and goes, but you’ll have a first edition Cornell on vinyl for the rest of your life.
