PLEASE NOTE --- I DON'T HAVE THE PICTURE SLEEVE FOR THIS ONE. THE VINYL WILL COME IN A PLAIN BLACK 12" SLEEVE. --- With that said, this is the VERY RARE first pressing of the CONGOS "HEART OF THE CONGO MAN" LP - BLACK ART - GUARANTEED ORIGINAL FIRST JAMAICAN PRESSING!! This is the very first pressing that appeared in limited number in 1977 with a different mix from all of the other pressing as well as the typographical error in the groups name. (THE CONGOS is spelled "THE CONGOES") -MATRIX # LP 4049 -The mix on the first pressing is quite different from all of the later pressings. The first pressing doesn't have the mooing cow on "Children Crying" and "Ark Of The Covenant". Also the piano is much higher in the mix throughout the entire album. The presentation of vocals and percussion is different from later pressings as well... particularly on "Open Up The Gate," where some prominent bells can be heard. There is not much delay on the vocals or phasing of the keyboards, and a section of "Congoman" sounds like it has a tape fault or rough edit left in the mix.
VINYL: VG+ ( plays with light background noise. some light paper scuffs from sliding the vinyl in and out of the sleeve, and a few light hairline scratches can be seen mostly under bright light. nothing that can be felt by the fingernail. Still has most of its original luster and sheen. No writing on labels. COMES IN A PLAIN BLACK 12" SLEEVE - sorry, I don't have the picture sleeve)
