Here is a musically superb very rare original 1968 uk heavy psych-freakbeat album by the very obscure bizarrely named band 'The Five Day Week Straw People'. Released in the UK in 1968 on the SAGA record label, this is one of the best and rarest uk budget psych albums ever released. This album is musically fantastic and in my opinion is better than many of the major label psych releases of the time. Far rarer than the 'The Magic Mixture' album, this 'Five Day Week Straw People' LP is getting very near impossible to find today in nice condition.
The thick stereo vinyl is nice and clean with a great original sheen with just a few light marks, and so grades a very nice excellent condition. The front laminated single sleeve is in very good condition with a couple of small faults. This is a great original copy of a brilliant heavy psych album that is getting so hard to find in nice condition.

THICK STEREO VINYL = EX
The thick chunky stereo vinyl is nice and clean with a great original sheen, there are just a couple of light wispy marks, a few very light scuffs and some very fine top surface hairlines that do very little to affect play. The sound quality is excellent throughout, but being a Saga pressing the album plays with a small amount of light background crackle and the odd pop or two, this is actually unavoidable as Saga pressed albums are known to be not of the best quality and all play with at least a little surface noise, there is really not too much surface noise on this rare psych album and the music always sounds really excellent throughout. This is actually a very nice copy that grades excellent but like almost every copy of this album it plays between VG+ to Ex.
MATT BLACK SAGA LABELS = EX
Both matt black Saga labels are in excellent condition with the very minimal amount of marking, ageing and wear.
FRONT LAMINATED SLEEVE = VG
The front laminated single sleeve was made and printed in the uk by St. James Press of London. The front lamination is excellent and still very glossy and reflective, there are just a couple of small lamination shifts near the covers opening and some small creases/cracks along the spine and the top and bottom edges. All four corners have some noticeable storage rubbing and wear. The white matt back cover is still pretty clean, there is some minor age discolouration and also a small blotch/stain near the top edge, there are just a couple of other small marks and signs of age but these do not look bad at all. The bottom left corner has a small torn area, so a very small piece of the covers corner is actually missing, this looks far worse in the picture provided with this listing than when the cover is in hand. The top and bottom edges and the spine have barely any traces wear, but the spine does have a very small neat cut near the middle. This front laminated sleeve still looks great, even with the few small flaws.
SAGA INNER SLEEVE VG
The original SAGA paper inner sleeve has some slight yellowing and some creasing but there are no seem/edge splits. The vinyl will be placed inside a more vinyl friendly white poly-lined inner sleeve, the original SAGA inner will also be sent to the winning bidder.
