COVER: VG+ ~Laminated , glossy front has only minor ring rub and few light edge creases.
Bright back has few spots of light wear and darkening at edge of flipbacks. One bumped corner.
Seams and spine are excellent with faint wear on bottom seam. No splits.

VINYL: VG+ ~due to name written on one label (in black area) and 2 feelable scratches.
A few other surface marks, though LP plays superb NM- throughout
(exactly ONE tick through entire record!) That's only once; on one revolution.
Few faint spindle marks at label center, when viewed at angle to light.

Stunning pressing on thick, non-flexible vinyl with extraordinary presence
and ultra-clear, bright sound!

Name written on label, SIDE 1 is black ink in black background; not very noticeable
unless held at angle to light (as I have presented below, in PHOTO 2).

Welcome to the MARQUEE CLUB, 1964. This is so crisp and bold
that you will feel you're right there, in the front row.

I yet have a number of perfect looking First -and very early- UK Columbia, Parlophone
and  other EMI pressings in the collection, but none sound quite as fresh, clear and
"right there" as this one does.

Even turned up very loud, the grooves stay near-silent,
with noise only heard in the initial pre-sound, run-in grooves
at beginning of each side.

I believe this was Eric Clapton's recorded debut (with a few earlier recordings surfacing later on)
if so, it's a most auspicious debut indeed. Luckily, the performance was well planned in advance
for recording and was clearly meant to be an album.

What was captured was explosive. The engineering and recording set-up were simple but exactly right
to turn-out what was, at the time, the very best recording of a live rock and roll performance...
and, today, is still in the top 10 live recordings of all time.

Having this recording on a very early and super-crisp, clear pressing is the closest thing to being in the club
during a performance that you can ever hope to hear.

Turn it UP, open your windows and the neighbors will think the band
is playing LIVE in your living room. It's a beautiful thing!

This LP is kept in a protective, clear poly outer-sleeve, as you shall receive it.
Vinyl inside rice paper, anti-static inner sleeve.
