Description

Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:  TITLE & ARTIST: "The 5 Royales" - by The Five Royales on the King/Gusto/Japanese Vivid Sound Records label (VS-1034), in beautiful original "High Fidelity" sound, issued originally in 1960 and reissued in 1984. CONDITION: JACKET - Near Mint(The glossy Japanese pressing is unworn and unmarked, with only a couple of very light corner dings - please see actual album in photos); VINYL - Near Mint(I grade this record near mint because I can find virtually no marks or scuffs on the pristine vinyl - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight).  SPECIAL FEATURES: Very rare Japanese monaural reissue of the vintage 1960 classic, with the original beautiful cover of The Royales on the Chess Board. The sound is clear and just as dynamic as the first day it came out in the early '60s...a true landmark of vocal group prowess.  The spectacular condition of this vinyl makes this a must hear for those who love the group that blazed the trail for James Brown, the Temptations, and dozens of other R&B vocal groups for the era. Their great music is extremely hard to find on record, with the original albums bringing golden prices. Here is a reissue that clearly sounds better than any of those originals. Don't miss it. TRACKS: I Know It's Hard But It's Fair, Miracle of Love, My Sugar Sugar, When You Walked Through the Door, School Girl, Get Something Out of It, Tell Me You Care, Wonder Where Your Love Has Gone, It Hurts Inside, Mine Forever More, One Mistake, Women About to Make Me Go Crazy. Thanks! If you have further questions about condition or content, please don't hesitate to ask. You may bid with unworried confidence. Our sales history is your assurance of absolute integrity. Thank you and good luck. OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
