A SIMPLE VINYL SIGHT-GRADING SYSTEM :

Mint: Sealed/Unplayed/Unopened/The Holy Grail
Mint minus (M-): New and Possibly Unplayed ; a rarely used grade.
Near Mint (NM): Like-new, with little or no visible wear; very scarce & very collectible.
Near Mint minus (NM-): almost like-new, slight signs of age, play or wear that appear strictly cosmetic.
Excellent (EX+ EX EX- ): Black and shiny, very nice, with minor wear in varying degrees
Very Good plus (VG+): Above average; with moderate wear, surface marks and paper scuffs.
Very Good (VG) : An average used 45, far from perfect; a few light scratches. Plays through, no skips.
Very Good minus (VG-) : Reveals lots of wear & noise when viewed or spun but is not defective or warped.


Picture Sleeve grading is a much less exact, more subjective science. 

Flaws such as split seams/spine splits, ring wear, cut/bent corners, hole punches, writing, water damage etc. 

should always be mentioned in a proper auction listing. These factors or the lack thereof will combine

Your item will be packed with loving care by someone who has been obsessed with vinyl since the early '60s.  All records are securely placed in new inner sleeves & new poly sleeves &  carefully packed inside thick cardboard mailers along with stiff cardboard inserts &   bubble wrap to help provide as safe a delivery as possible.

All records are carefully sight-graded by someone who has inspected used records for over 35 years.   

Pictures shown in a bearswaxrecords listing are always of the actual item up for bid.  More photos are available on request.
