DEBUT ALBUM from this Yes spin off formed by guitarist Peter Banks with guest keyboard player Tony Kaye. Music is quintessential British progressive rock with a forceful back-beat and complicated but melodic arrangements. Long tracks permeate the record giving the band plenty of scope to stretch out and dazzle with instrumental prowess and some killer solo sections. Stand out tracks include 'Children Of The Universe', which gets underway with a flurry of keyboards and a tricky time signature, and the impossibly long 'Dreams Of Heaven', a smorgasbord of prog rock theatrics, including statcato riffing, heavy guitar, falsetto vocals, shifting rhythms and a brilliantly executed instrumental middle section. It doesn't get much better than this for prog heads.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Nice clean and shiny condition. Spindle marks visible on labels but no other signs of use. Grades as a beautiful MINT-!
Cover: Again, just minor signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated fully laminated gate fold cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and one almost invisible half moon crease to right side of front. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 47 years after release. Grades as Ex+
