FLEETWOOD MAC no place to go / first train home
Legendary UK first session with Fleetwood Mac. I am very happy to offer this 12" acetate with two of the first songs recorded by Fleetwood Mac back in 1967. No place to go ended up on the first LP but First Train Home did not see an original release and only saw the light years later on the compilation with unreleased material The Original FLeetwood Mac album.
This is a legit metal acetate that was done at the time of the recording. Acetates are usually done in about 3-10 copies but most often not more than 5 copies. They are the step prior to test pressings and the true first way to hear a song.
This acetate came into my hands at a record fair a couple of years ago back here in Sweden from a dealers cheapie bin. It was housed in the cover of the UK lp HOME "pause for a hoarse horse" so I took a chance knowing that the Home LP is a somewhat interesting LP. For some reason I never realised the two blues tracks was Fleetwood Mac (I have not listened to their really early stuff that much) and forgot about it. I found it some time ago again in my storage and I managed to understand what was on it.....and thought I would give someone else a chance to own this precious gem.
I will send this very careful and I am a professional record seller with 20 years experience of shipping. I have sold and sent acetates before and I will care extra much due to the fragility of the item.
VER 148 on the matrix is for Mike Vernon production and the series was used on the sought after Purdah singles from what I understand. Perhaps it was Vernons number for his recording sessions as a producer.
SLEEVE:
I will send along the HOME sleeve but there was never an original sleeve to it.

Really clean with just very light wear. one small dink on the edge. One of the cleaned acetates I have ever owned.
