Description
Rumours is the eleventh studio album by Fleetwood Mac, released in February 1977 in the United States. Per Wikipedia, the recording sessions took place in the aftermath of several relationship breakups among the band members in addition to heavy drug use, both of which shaped the album's direction and lyrics. The album became the band's first number-one album on the UK and US charts. The songs "Go Your Own Way", "Dreams", "Don't Stop", and "You Make Loving Fun" were released as singles, all of which reached the US Top 10, with "Dreams" reaching number one. Often considered Fleetwood Mac's magnum opus, Rumours has frequently been cited as one of the greatest albums of all time. As of February 2023, Rumours has sold over 40 million copies worldwide. The album up for bid is a 1977 recording manufactured by the Capitol Records Jacksonsville pressing facility. It consists of 11 tracks with a run time of 38+ minutes.
The cover is VG condition. There are no split seams and the edges and corners show only mild wear. The covers are textured and are intact without tears, creases or markings.
The inner sleeve is intact but not original. The recording is enclosed in a new sleeve for added protection. There is also an insert that includes candid photos of the group along with track listings, lyrics and production information.
The recording has been cleaned and tested and all tracks played through with skips. There is occasional background noise consisting of "clicks" that do not significantly interfere with the listener experience. The disk surfaces are clean but do show mild signs of wear. The labels are intact and clean. By Goldmine standards the album would qualify as VG/VG+.
