Hello and welcome to my auction!  This is a VERY strange auction for me as I almost always sell LPs and nothing else!  AND OF COURSE THERE WILL BE MANY MANY MORE LPs COMING UP FOR SALE THIS WEEK AS USUAL!  Yet I felt this single is so very VERY rare I feel it is definitely worth listing!  And of course, as there is less detail to describe with a 45 - the description is very different and much shorter!  There is however plenty of pictures - so please take a look.  So now on to this EXTREMELY rare item below:-

RARITY:-  This is undoubtedly one of ALL TIME rarest UK Psychedelic / Freakbeat 45s ever made - from one of the most sought after bands EVER!  Barely ANY copies were ever sold (probably only a few hundred) and as a result, it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find today!  Better still - this one is in FANTASTIC condition - and as only been played 2 or 3 times (if that!) since new!

PRESSING:-  MONO 1ST PRESS - 'Wavy Topped' Company sleeve, 'Textured' labels, and A1/B1 matrix endings!

SIGNS OF PLAY:-  BARELY ANY!  One label shows 2 or 3 plays (absolute maximum - possibly more like 1 or 2 plays), and the other label has NO signs of play AT ALL!

LABELS:-  NM (A truly AWESOME set of labels - as my pictures show!)

GRADING:-   MEGA STRICTLY graded VG++++ if not better (though almost everyone would grade higher here!) - and very VERY close to a grade above (Graded directly under a 150 watt bulb!).  Now I would suggest that most people here would EASILY grade NM or at least EX+ - as this 45 looks basically almost as it did when it was made back in 1966!  In fact, it is very VERY true to say that this 45 would be most peoples FINAL UPGRADE!  However, I prefer to be very VERY strict indeed to avoid ANY disappointment AT ALL - and with this grading, I know that the winning bidder will be very VERY happy indeed!  Aswell as this 45 having an AWESOME set of labels - it also has NO scratches, NO hairlines, only 1 FEATHER light scuffline trace (completely invisible except directly under a lightbulb), NO surface marks, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!  It is VERY clear that it has barely been touched since it was made!  The only detail to mention is an absolutely TINY white 'pressing mark' which is 100% definitely from the pressing process itself back in 1966 (and often found on 45s of this period).  It is also completely NON sounding apart from one solitary click - which is the softest click you'll ever hear!  I played the section twice to be sure - and I literally had to put my ear to the speaker to make certain.  In fact, the click is so soft it is WAY under the vocals, and unless you knew where to listen, I am almost certain that no one would even notice it!  And of course as expected on a BARELY PLAYED example - there is NO pops, NO distortion, NO groovewear, NO hiss, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!   A truly FANTASTIC copy - that could be only be bettered by finding a Mint/Unplayed example!  As I said before - most would grade higher still, but I am keen to avoid any disappointment, and I know that with the VERY strict grading I have given, and VERY detailed description - that the winning bidder will be very VERY happy indeed with this AMAZING Psych rarity!  It must be one of the BEST examples left in existence!

COMPANY SLEEVE:-  ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Wavy Topped' Polydor Flipback Company Sleeve is in BRILLIANT condition!  It has the usual creases shaped around the record, which are often naturally formed through storage and are expected.  Importantly there are NO splits, NO rips, NO stickers, NO writing, NO sticker marks, NO sticker tears, NO nasty fraying to the 'wavy top', NO 'lifting' to the flipbacks on the back of the sleeve, and NO writing!  There are also NO repairs either and the company sleeve is definitely an ORIGINAL 1st Press Company Sleeve and NOT a re-pro!  It must easily grade VG++ if not better!

DEFECTS OUTSIDE OF THE GRADE GIVEN:-  Fractionally uneven when lying flat - and I mean very VERY slightly indeed!  Any system (even the most sensitive systems in the world!) would easily play it, and I certainly did not detect it via the naked eyebefore playing!  There are absolutely NO sharp warps, NO nasty sideways needle movement AT ALL, and definitely NO wow or flutter!  I doubt if many people would even mention it - but I am simply being accurate, and mentioning everything I see - no matter how small.
