Description

FLEXO [Mx 1253/1254] ROLL ON MISSISSIPPI / YEA ALABAMA. Condition E- scuffing,  lt scratches slight warp. 8 inch record.


FLEXO records are thin floppy records of some sort of plastic. To play, they must be taped to another disk. All the FLEXO's I have seen have some warp. I will call it slight, moderate, or severe. Slight and moderate are playable, moderate will take more work, more tape, and a heavier tone arm. Severe is not really playable, at least by me so far.

 I tried to play this record and it was difficult. I could not get a clean start on the Roll On side, my needle bounced around. So I have to call it Moderate, or moderate to severe, Warp. I think storing it flat under some weight for a while will help, it was very close to making it. It is jazzier than I thought, pretty good band, maybe Coakley? I got the Alabama side to play through, I do not know why one side is different than the other. Makes me appreciate normal flat records.
