Description
This is a wonderful prog/psych LP. It's by a great US band called Floating Bridge and is entitled 'Floating Bridge'. It's a stereo recording on the blue UK Liberty label from 1969 (catalogue no. LBS 83271). The blue labels with black wording feature the legendary 'Statue of Liberty' logos on the left. This is a quality prog/psych LP and is incredibly rare.
OUTER SLEEVE - The sleeve is not a flipback type but is an original and is laminated on the front cover. It is in fine condition with minor wear on the front and some very minor wear on the rear. The edges and spine are in great condition with minimal wear and the wording along the spine is 100% readable. There is some minor discolouration on the rear of the sleeve. It states on the rear of the cover - ' Printed and made by MacNeill Press Ltd., London - Produced by jackie Mills/Wednesday's Child Productions - A Vault Records Recording'. This really is a fine example of an early sleeve and it will be difficult to find another one in such good condition. I have graded the sleeve as Ex.
INNER SLEEVE - This is a white diecut sleeve which has one corner cut at the top diagonally. I have graded the sleeve VG++
RECORD - The record itself looks very clean with some very superficial minor marks which do not affect the quality of the recording. There is some minor surface noise over the two sides of the record and there are very occasional pops and clicks on both sides. There are definitely no jumps on any of the tracks. The labels which are blue with black wording are in fine condition with some minor spindle marks. There is no damage to the labels on either side. These labels feature the white Statue of Liberty logo. It states on each label - 'Produced by Jackie Mills For Wednesday's Child Productions - A Vault Recording'. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are as follows - side one LBS 83271 A//1 V 420 1 1 3 - side two - LBS 83271 B//1 V 420 2 1. I have graded the record as Ex- and I believe that this is very fair. I try to grade everything as accurately and conservatively as possible (I never grade anything as 'mint').
