Description

The great FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS..her Melotone 78s are being reoffered this week, in different configurations and sizes. For example, CHARMANT OISEAU, the aria from Felicien David's opera "Pearl of Brazil" was issued on 10-inch and 12-inch, with printed labels and typed labels, with and without a credit for the flute player (Louis Alberghini is credited on this issue but another source suggested Oreste di Sevo). This copy is 10-inch and has typed labels. Disc is E. As always, the magnificent piano accompaniment is by the great Cosme McMoon. Collect them all!
