ATLANTIC P8187/A - Japan

Original issue of the rare second album by Japanese group FLOWER TRAVELLING BAND, a masterpiece halfway between progressive and psychedelia. It was released in 1972 in an odd packaging reproducing a fake shipment box, with stamp and address label pasted-on.

COVER - The delicate cardboard box is in near perfect condition, with little wear and a crease on the opening side. The obi-stripe is pasted on one side of the box and has a few small tears along the sides. Graded EX.
The album includes foldout red lyric insert with the English lyrics and the Japanese translation, a feedback postcard and another paper sheet with Japanese text.

INNER - Standard protective clear plastic bag.

VINYL - Clean and shiny, with just a superficial mark at the end of side two. It plays very well with minimal background noise. Graded EX.
Record playgraded using a Shure V15-Type III stylus at 1.5gr.

LABELS - Original red/whote/green Atlantic labels in perfect condition with no tears or writings.

RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE'S GRADING SYSTEM

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packag­ing might have slight wear and/or creasing. 

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable sur­face marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. 

GOOD:The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. 

FAIR:The record is still just playable but has not been cared for prop­erly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR:The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. 

Please notice that I don't use Mint but NEAR MINT (which is very close but refers to a secondhand used record) except for Sealed/Brand New/Unplayed records, and I don't sell Poor or unplayable records. I try to be as honest as possible when grading records, but a mistake can be made from time to time.

Edizione originale del raro secondo album del gruppo giapponese FLOWER TRAVELLING BAND, un capolavoro a metà strada tra psichedelia e progressive. Il disco uscì nel 1972 in una finta scatola di cartone da spedizione, con tanto di etichetta e francobollo incollati sopra.

COPERTINA - La delicata scatola di cartone è in condizioni quasi perfette, con minimi segni di usura e una piega sul lato di apertura. La classica striscia promozionale (obi) dei dischi giapponesi è applicata su un lato della scatola e ha qualche piccolo strappo sui lati. Condizioni generali: EX.
E' incluso un inserto apribile con i testi in inglese e la traduzione giapponese, insieme ad una cartolina da rispedire alla casa discografica e ad un altro inserto scritto in giapponese.

BUSTA INTERNA - Busta standard in plastica trasparente.

VINILE - Pulito e scintillante, con solo un piccolo graffio superficiale alla fine del lato 2. Suona benissimo con rumore di fondo limitatissimo. Valutato EX.
Disco ascoltato con una testina Shure V15-Type III del peso di 1.5gr.
