PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! Original 1975 first pressing of a rare PROMOTIONAL ONLY RELEASE housed in a fantastic custom designed cover that folds out into a poster!
This is one of the most phenomenally beautiful promo packages the major labels ever put out: deluxe orange cover with folding flaps that clasp the LP (along with a cardboard stiffener issued to give the package more stability), which folds into a giant poster. The gatefold interior has a bio of the band, a personnel list and a track list with writer credits. They feature "Wild Horses" before the Stones released it, the Gram Parson soul classic "Dark end of the Street", Dylan's "To Ramona" plus other TOP Burritos Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman tracks. Comes with the A&M company sleeve, clean labels, beautiful disc, a must for any 70s collector or Byrds/Burritos fan.

The Flying Burrito Brothers helped forge the connection between rock and country-rock, and with their 1969 debut album, The Gilded Palace of Sin, they virtually invented the blueprint for rural-rock. Though the band's glory days were brief, they left behind a small body of work that proved vastly influential both in rock and country.
Originally, the Flying Burrito Brothers were a group of Los Angeles musicians who gathered together to jam. Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman took the band's name when they were forming their own band after leaving the Byrds. Parsons had helped steer the Byrds toward a rural-rock direction during his brief stint with the band, as captured on the 1968 album Sweetheart of the Rodeo. Following the release ofSweetheart, he left the Byrds, followed shortly afterward by Hillman. The duo added pedal steel guitarist Sneaky Pete Kleinow and bassist Chris Ethridge to the band and set about recording their debut album with a variety of session drummers.
The Gilded Palace of Sin, the Flying Burrito Brothers' debut album, was released in the spring of 1969. The band developed a devoted following, which happened to include many prominent musicians in Los Angeles, Bob Dylan, and the Rolling Stones. Around this time, Parsons and Stones guitarist Keith Richards became good friends, which led to Parsons losing interest in the Burritos. Before the band recorded their second album, Ethridge left the band and was replaced by Bernie Leadon, and the group hired ex-Byrd Michael Clarke as their permanent drummer. The result was the final Lp with Gram Parsons, Burrito Deluxe ...
