Description

CURE fans try and find one of these in your local record store. When Simon Gallup left The Cure for a short while he teamed up with Gary Biddles to form FOOLS DANCE. Which I might add sounds remarkably Curish. Not to mention if you check out the inserts Biddles looks alot like Robert Smith. This is a white label with the tracks written in ink on both sides. It also has writing on the front cover in very light blue pen TO PETER LOVE GARY BIDDLES. This is also on one of the 2 insert. see photos. White label records are usually promos but this does not say promo anywhere. This is on Prism records distributed by Pinnacle 1986. The original date was 1985 but I believe this to be an original press. Cat # LTS18 The vinyl is NM and cover is VG+++ small price sticker on upper right. Quite rare Highly recommended to Gallup & Cure fans alike.

Fools Dance was a short-lived British rock band formed by Simon Gallup after he left The Cure due to a conflict with Robert Smith in 1982.[1] Initially calling themselves 'The Cry', the band played their first gig at the Covent Garden Rock Garden on the 19th April 1983. Although Fools Dance recorded a number of songs and played a number of gigs in their brief existence, they never released a full-length album. The only material they ever released were two EPs; their self-titled EP and They'll Never Know.

  • Matthieu Hartley and Gary Biddles have also both been involved with The Cure; Hartley was their original keyboard player and Biddles was a one-time guest singer.[1]
  • Gary Biddles later formed another band with Lol Tolhurst called Presence, which released one full-length album called Inside.
