VARIOUS ARTISTS – Forbidden City Dog Food. Vip Vop VIP VOP-1. Australian release. FACTORY SEALED NEW VINYL RECORD ALBUM. Originally released back in the 80s. This appears to be a circa 2015 reissue, done exactly as the original. As this is sealed, I could only compare the jacket with my original copy (no degredation between editions); the original labels were pink with black type and artwork (black outlines on a white background) of a scantily clad woman; one on side one and two on side two.

DESCRIPTION:

Cool wild and wacky compilation taken from one of Lux Interior’s mix tapes that he used to play over the PA before The Cramps shows. Includes unlisted radio clips of horror movies and other advertisements between songs! There are a few things that make this compilation special. The first is the cover - it's a collage of ultra-sleaze advertisements from the 1950s and 60s making statements like, "Unusual... Clubs, fotos, films, bondage, discipline, wrestling, fetishism, nudism, etc. ADULTS ONLY! Send $1." and "Sun-bathing movies. European girls - Natural, Unretouched!" and "Raised Skirt Movies!"

The second is what's in between each of the tracks listed above. Whoever whipped up this little number (the story I’ve heard is that Lux compiled the original tape himself, and if memory serves, my original vinyl copy of this came via Billy Miller and Mirriam Linna, of then, Kicks fame and pre-Norton Records) placed in between each song a radio spot - a 30 second commercial - for sleazy exploitation movies from the 60s and 70s. "May I say 'yes' to you?" a trampy teen coos. "The traffic is murder in Death Race 2000!" an announcer yells. "Breaker one-niner, this is bedbugger out of BR town..." a CB-talkin' trucker yodels. Yes, this LP is ALL ACTION ALL THE TIME! A great introduction to some of the other similar themed Lux collections that are out their. An expanded CD version of this album that includes a second album’s worth of Lux chosen various artist sleeze is out now, Graveyard Tramps Eat The Forbidden City Dog Food (a copy of which is or will shortly be posted to my listings). 

THIS ITEM IS NEW AND UNPLAYED. Used items will include condition details for the cover, disc, inserts, etc.

All LPs are removed from their jackets and placed outside of the jacket for shipping. If an album comes sealed (and will be noted as such in the above description), it will be shipped whole unless you request that I open it up to place the disc outside of the jacket for shipping. Both jacket and disc are placed inside of an outer plastic sleeve before packing for shipping. I use professional corrugated record mailers.

MIX:  This sometimes appears in my title line and refers to a group's/artist's music having a mix of styles such a rock track with jazz then followed by a straight rock track followed by a psych rock track, etc., as opposed to a blues album with the album's tracks having predominantly one style.

RETURN POLICY:

Please e-mail me with specific details and I will get back to you with your options. I ask that if there is a problem with the item that you contact me as soon as possible after receiving it. Any refund, exchange, or substitution/credit will be at the buyer’s choice, but not made until the original item is received back by me; in the condition as stated in the item description. 

NON-ARRIVAL OF PACKAGES:

US Customers:  Please wait at least two weeks from my confirmed shipping date before contacting me about the non-arrival of your package. All packages are shipped with confirmation/tracking, you will received an automatically generated shipping notice from Ebay e-mail with your tracking number. It has been several years since I’ve had a package not make its US destination, so risk is minimal.

INTERNATIONAL Customers:  Please wait at least 3 weeks from my confirmed shipping date before contacting me about the non-arrival of your package. I do my best to quickly post packages, but once the package is in the hands of the world’s postal system it is beyond my control. With First-Class Package International Service my only option for investigating the loss of your package is to verify that it left this country to its destination country. Most all delayed/lost packages have disappeared/been delayed after they have reached their destination country. NOTE:  Based on recent buyer feedback, International packages have been moving much slower these days; it is not unusual for a package to take over three weeks for delivery, though normally packages should arrive in 7 to 15 business days.
