"Sing a song of Basie""The Swinger""Lambert Hendricks and Ross""Sing a Song of Basie" on the IMPULSE Mono A-83 label
All records include their original paper sleeve. The covers range in condition from NM- to VG+ with a previous owners' name written discretely on the reverse of "The Hottest New Group in Jazz" on the Columbia label. All records show minimal or no spindle marks.
All records will be shipped removed from their cardboard sleeves and within poly sleeves and shipped in a box designed for records.
All records are guaranteed.
I would regret any damage caused by the postal service, however I ask that if the box shows signs it was mishandled, you notify your carrier before accepting or opening.
I take your satisfaction very seriously and take pride in providing an accurate description (please refer to my feedback history), however, due to the subjective nature of describing vintage vinyl, it's possible to miss something that is important to you, therefore the record is guaranteed. Simply contact me immediately to return the record in the exact condition received to receive a prompt refund.?
Grading / Condition Guide
Sealed: The record is sealed in its original shrink wrap. The cover may have promotional marks (see description), but these will be identified in the description. The Vinyl should be Mint from the factory, but can’t be verified.
Mint Minus: This record looks similar to one that has just left the manufacturer, in an almost flawless condition. It looks as though it has been minimally handled. No stickers address labels, writing on the labels or promotional marks may be present. To be Mint the record must be play graded.
Near Mint or NM: This record appears virtually flawless aside from a minor scuff but little else can appear on the vinyl. It should play without any noise over any flaw. The cover looks as close to perfect with only miimal signs of wear and or age. Promotional marks may be present, but these will be identified in the description. Some pops from vinyl flaws may be present, but no background noise.
Excellent EX (VG+): Minor scuffs which are only slightly visible. There may be more than a few scuffs on the cover. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear! Minor creases to the corners. No seam splits or writing on the cover or taped repairs can make this grade.
Very Good VG: Record shows wear, surface scuffs noticeable to the naked eye. COVERS: Clean, but may have small writing on it. The artwork looks clean with slightly more aging. Flat white paper will be somewhat yellow yet no stains or mildew from water damage. Some minor wear to the seams or spine, but no tears or holes. The corners could be slightly creased yet no crackly bends.
Good or G: A good record will look very well played; however a good record should still play through without skipping. It will have distracting surface noise. Will also have some loss of dynamics caused from grooves being worn. Good means that it will play so one can still enjoy the music even though you can still hear noise caused from the wear. A Good cover will have just about everything wrong with it. It will have seam splits and possibly tape repairs. There will be no duct tape or masking tape repairs. It may have pen or marker writing on the cover, but some artwork will still be noticeable.
Promotional or Cut Out: Promotional records are generally records sent to promote the new recording to the industry. They can have stamps or stickers and note “Promotional - Not for Resale”. The vinyl may or may not identify the record as promotional. Cut-Outs are records that were returned to the manufacturer, marked and resold at a discount. This may include holes punched, edge cuts, corners cut, stickers, etc.
Shipped using USPS Media Mail. The buyer's cost is $4.00 PLUS one dollar per additional record. The total will be $6.00 for this combined purchase. I WILL SHIP TO ONLY WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL US.
