Description
STRICTLY FOR SERIOUS COLLECTORS ONLY
On offer here is my collection of four vintage, near-mint, very limited-edition, “unofficial” DAVID BOWIE vinyl LPs from the 1970s and early-1980s.
These are what used to be called“bootlegs”, pressed in very limited numbers and, in most countries, only sold“under the counter”. I paid a relative fortune for each when I personally bought them brand new back in the day …
Now, without wanting to sound patronizing to any of you lovely potential bidders, if you don’t understand what I mean by “bootlegs”, then please don’t waste your money here.
To the rest of you, I'm not actually sure if there’s anyone left in the world interested in these sorts of discs … I know there are other sellers on eBay asking over US $1300 for a copy of “Soft In The Middle” on its own. That is ridiculous. Surely, no-one will ever pay that. In case I’m completely wrong, I want the whole world to know that if there’s someone out there who, right now, is willing to offer me $1300 all four of these albums combined, you’ve got a deal!!!!
If not, let the auction continue …
All five discs here (Immersed In Crowley’s Uniform is a double-album) are in immaculate, near-mint condition, played only a couple of times each (dubbed direct to cassette tape) since I purchased them over 30 years ago. I suddenly feel so old… (Some minor age-markings on cover insert of Immersed.)
Below are descriptions of each album stolen from the brilliant BASSMAN’S DAVID BOWIE PAGE.
Any questions, just shout. Happy bidding. (I’ll be so depressed in no one bids!)

COMMENTS: This is the original issue of SOFT IN THE MIDDLE. One insert on the front side with the GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT title, and one on the back side (often duo-toned) which was put on the front side of the second issue. The first issue has printed TAKRL labels. A lot of people think that the original issue is numbered, but itisn't. It is the same number, 256545, on every insert, and also on the printed cover to the third issue. The printed cover is available in colour or in b&w only, both with the same pictures.
[NB:the copy of offer here is a second issue with a duo-toned insert as the front cover]
IMMERSED IN CROWLEY'S UNIFORM

COMMENTS: Are-issue of the LP COCAINEADDS LIFE (1984) in a b&w wraparound insert. There are two other covers as well. One version is from the US and has a xerox of the front side of the wrap around insert only (A4size). The other one is from Holland and is a boxed version! The front side of the box has the same front side as the wrap around insert, but the backside is a little bit modified. The modofication is the dates after the miscellaneoussongs. On the inside of the box top, there is a very nice black and white picture of Bowie glued to it.
USED UP AND EMPTY

COMMENTS: Six outtakes from '70-'71 , and the other songs are from BBC'72. The songs have been recorded at the wrong speed, so it sounds a bit strange, but it is Bowie singing! AMSTERDAM is not listed on the cover. An Australian issue exists, with the number A8207 in the bottom right hand corner on the front side of the cover. Good sound quality.
LOST & FORGOTTEN
Label & nr: HALLOWEEN JACK PRODUCTION LTD. GEMA A-8206 SIII

COMMENTS: A strange compilation album with some odd stuff, but also with some common official versions. The odd songs are LIFE ON MARS? - FIVE YEARS, because they are not on the LP COCAINE ADDS LIFE (1984). FAME from Cher Show is also available on disc for the first time! Pretty good sound quality.
