THIS RARE AS AN ORIGINAL AND ESPECIALLY THIS CANADIAN PRESS!
It's certainly tempting to use adjectives like "sweet", "lovely", and "candy-coloured" when describing this album, but I want to get away from that because this is clearly a serious album made by serious musicians intending to create the perfect pop record. It is certainly crafted to emulate the success of "Poupée de cire, poupée de son", and crafted is the operative word. This is the sound of dozens of creative minds coming up with singable songs that will bury themselves in your mind forever, anchored by one incredible voice. One of the great achievements of the '60s.
