MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find UTZ Records very first Stereo press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1980 by UTZ Corp. Ltda. (UTZ Records), licensed from Prelude Records, USA, catalog number SU-0002, with hand etched matrix numbers SU-0002A 1 in Side A and SU-0002B 1 in Side B, with traditional blue/black Prelude/UTZ Records labels. Something interesting to notice it’s the 1/1 stampers!!! Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile for all fans, lovers and collectors of Canadian singer France Joli and Soul Disco!!!

“Come To Me” was the debut single of France Joli, originally released in USA in July 1979 and we got this single in Chile in 1980 released by the small company UTZ Records, not sure if it was an independent label or some subsidiary label of some bigger company, no information added in labels. Song titles are written in English, translated to Spanish, with full credits for songwriters and all the additional information you can see in original US Prelude Records. It’s interesting to notice that below the Chilean catalog number in both sides it’s also printed the original US catalog number “PRL-8001”. So, here you have the chance to get and own this classic soul disco hit in this MEGARARE PRESS almost never seen and now auctioned here in eBay by the very first time!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many scuffs and soft hairlines, which of course don’t affect play. Labels are in great NM- or NM condition both sides, clear and clean, with only minimal spindle hole wear and a small “7” in Side A. The sound is in strong VG or VG+ condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with only a hiss in the first seconds of the song, caused for a mark/blemish I couldn’t clean/remove completely, all the rest of the song could be easily graded as NM- condition, and in EX+ or even NM- the Side B, with only minimal occasional soft crackles here and there, which don’t cause any distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE PRESS with a very nice look, almost immaculate labels and great sound quality after almost 40 years, which won’t disappoint anyone!!! And don’t forget this is a MEGARARE PRESS with Spanish-written song titles and by the very first time auctioned here in eBay!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

We have an unique value worldwide:

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending on thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP10 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
