Francis The Great - Ravissante Baby Afro disco funk LP
Francis The Great - Ravissante Baby C-C Records CC 3302 France/Cameroon? 1977Wow! This is one of the greatest African disco - funk records ever produced - absolutely stellar groove. In essence a maxi, it's all about the B-side. Unheard and uncompiled.
'Look up in the sky (negro nature)' is a stretched funk groove with synth and a bubbling bassline added (probably by bass giant Vicky Edimo who produced the record). What makes this extra special is the lead vocalist, a 10 year old kid called Francis Mbarga (rumoured to be Prince Nico Mbarga's kid brother, but we can't confirm) who at the time was schooling in France. He sings/raps in parts of the song, in both French and English about the beautiful sky and the birds. He did one more LP after this which is easier to find.
The other side of the LP contains a long jam in highlife style, again with the squeeky vocals of Francis.
Of course this record is not at all available on the market right now, the last copy was sold on Ebay a few years ago, so make sure your bid is high enough or miss out on this one! And it's a good copy too, plays well - listen to the snippet. Good luck.

Grading: Vinyl: VG (plays VG to VG+, only mild static overpowered by the music) Sleeve: G+ (the front is a nice VG but the back was stuck to other LP so misses parts of the text, and the label on one side contains mildew, see pics)

Purchases to Italy and France are only sent via Registered mail with tracking! Sorry but I have had too many problems with the postal services there. I will give you a tracking code so you can follow the package online.
By buying on this item, you agree that I won't be responsible for items that are lost or damaged in the mail. In all my years selling via the web, I have never had a package lost and only once did an LP break but if you want to be 100% sure you may opt to have the record sent through registered mail at a little extra cost.
To prevent fraud, I will only ship to the address provided in your Paypal payment. If you want to ship to a different address, please change it in your Paypal settings before you pay.
Also, I reserve the right to cancel any purchases, for example from buyers who have given me problems before, including those who left me with a Paypal chargeback because their records took a while to arrive.
